Well, after several years of having a desktop (Mac Mini) I have finally decided to move back to a Macbook Pro. I had one for the longest time, then once I felt my living situation was stable (from college, to apartment, to house) I decided to move to a desktop machine. It was a good move, however I quickly learned that I needed something mobile. So I got a Macbook (lowest end), it worked well…however, I started running into “syncing” issues. Making sure that my data was the same in both locations became a pain, when we moved to Google Apps…that helped. But, it just doesn’t work. So, after many moons, I decided to move back to a Macbook Pro. All and all, I’m very happy.
I do have some complaints…biggest being, Time Machine. Apple, this is a laptop, meant to be mobile, I can’t keep a USB drive connected all the time. You had the brilliant idea to allow Time Machine to backup to an Airport Disk drive…then you took it away…PLEASE bring it back…oh please.
