I make it no secret that I don’t approve of college sports (as they are today). There are lots of reasons, which I’ll go into later. However, my wife is a big college sports fan (particually, she’s a big corn husker) and Nebraska was playing up at Texas A&M so we went up.
The Texas A&M team is a disgrace to the game of baseball, and the Texas A&M fans were a disgusting. So, here is what happen.
First, the fans were already obnoxious, however that’s semi to be expected. However, in the 2nd inning, the pitcher hit the batter in the head with a baseball…okay, it happens. Then, the pitcher, threw to tag out the man on second, and hit him square in the chest with the ball…he hit the ground instantly. He was down for a good 10 minutes, then one of the fans noted, he hadn’t touched the base, and no one called time out…the player is still down, and the trainer/coaches are all around…and he tagged him out. Unbelievable…such a poor showing of sportsmanship.
